Piedmont Health SeniorCare is being
developed as a program of Piedmont Health Services, Inc.
(PHS). Our application to become certified as a Program of
All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is currently under review with
the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; the program is expected
to become certified and operational in September 2008.
PHS is a
private, non-profit organization which has served communities in central
North Carolina since 1970. The mission of PHS over its thirty-seven year
history has been to provide access to comprehensive health care and
support services to all members of our community, with a special focus
on those for who access and quality of care has become increasingly
inadequate.
“We believe that quality health care
for everyone in our community is a fundamental right.
Our mission is
to ensure this right.”
PHS operates six community health centers to
serve a seven-county area, including Caswell, Alamance, Chatham, Orange,
Person, Randolph and Lee. We offer comprehensive, bilingual, primary
care services, and offer a sliding fee scale payment option for those
who qualify.
